Circus, Covent Garden

Behind an unassuming black door on Endell Street in Covent Garden is a fantastically fun and original bar and restaurant. Whether you want a first rate gourmet meal or simply a few cocktails and some entertainment- you are guaranteed a fun-filled night of surprises. The restaurant itself is trendy and sophisticated thanks to the modern interior design and the constantly evolving Pan Asian menu is original and creative. As you enter the restaurant you will notice there are individual tables and also one large, long table dominating the main room. The stairs leading up to it hint at what lies ahead because this is no ordinary restaurant table and no ordinary venue. Every half an hour something exciting happens! The lights dim, shutters to the bustling kitchen come down and a 10 minute cabaret show commences. Hanging from the ceiling above the table is an acrobat’s hoop from which flexible performers show off their moves as they put on a captivating show. There is a charismatic compère dressed in tails and top hat who does a fantastic job of tending to his guest’s every need before he himself takes part in the cabaret. As the night draws on it’s quite common for the guests themselves to get up on the tables and dance the night away. Make your reservation well in advance as this place gets booked up early. However if you’re lucky you can try popping in for a drink and catch a show at the same time- just a little tip for you!
