Feel like getting blind-folded this week-end? No we’re not talking about the 50 Shades of Grey franchise, we are in fact alluding to an exciting music event that is due to take place this weekend! On Saturday night there is a gig in Dalston where you will be requested to put on a blindfold and sit on a chair facing away from the concert. Why? Because the experimentalist avant-garde composer Francisco Lopez feels that this is the best way to appreciate his music!
According to the organisers Lopez has created his own sonic language by using recordings that were made in some of the “harshest natural and industrial environments around the world.” Francesco will perform two 40 minute pieces at Café Oto and will be broadcast live on BBC Radio 3’s Here and Now program. We think this is a great opportunity to turn your phones off, take a break from social media and enjoy a truly unique experience!
Address: 18-22 Ashwin Street, Dalston, London E8 3DL
Date: Saturday 14th March
Time: 10:30 – midnight
