Roller Disco

It’s time to dust off your leg warmers, whip out the Lycra and head down to Vauxhall for a night of retro fun at Roller Disco. Fridays and Saturdays are filled with pure 70’s funk as you party your shins off into the early hours. The Renaissance rooms offers a vast space for you to show off your skating skills or your spectacular falls depending on your prowess and upstairs is where you find the more intimate mezzanine bar which can be hired out for private parties.  There are four well stocked bars but drinks are pricey-  something that may work out in your favour if it dissuades you from trying the backward spin at 1 am after a few shots. Open from 8 pm-2 am there is plenty of time to skate, drink the night away. This is a perfect option for a birthday, hen night or simply a great excuse to get your mates together and have a laugh. You don’t get more retro than Roller Disco.

Torture Gardens

This club is not for the faint-hearted as the name implies! Europe’s leading S and M club is a long established venue for extreme experimental theatre and general debauchery. You would feel as out of place wearing a sparkly dress and jeans here as you would having tea with the Queen in your underpants. It is however a must visit for anyone wanting to immerse themselves in the darker side of the alternative nightclub scene. Expect to see transvestites, semi-naked people and eccentrics of all kinds. As long as you leave your prejudices and inhibitions at the door you will find the people friendly, the atmosphere fun and the whole night delightfully naughty! QL recommends this as a truly crazy alternative to the usual Halloween parties. Just remember to pack your handcuffs and whip.
