The Arts Theatre Club, Soho

There’s a secret in London being whispered between the luvvies of the theatre world and the lucky ones in the know and that secret is called The Arts Theatre Club.

Located on Frith Street, nestled in the heart of Soho you will find a small narrow staircase leading down to the 1920’s style space that has been the original speakeasy for many a thespian since it first opened in the 1920’s.

This club is one of London’s originals and its intimate, dimly lit rooms have played host to gangsters and movie-stars alike. With fringed lamps, book shelves and velvet covered sofas it feels as though Garbo or Sinatra may walk round the corner at any minute. The bar reflects the 1920’s mood with a menu that offers up a tempting list of cocktails served from a china teapot into flowery china cups and saucers- a novel idea that somehow adds to the fun of feeling you’ve been thrown back to a by-gone era.

Once the cocktails are flowing it’s time to check out the dance floor, which is small but always buzzing full of enthusiastic revellers. Although this is a members’ club, non-members are also welcome but we do reccomend to book in advance via email. All that remains now is to telegram your nicest chums ASAP and turn up in your finest glad rags for a gossip and a giggle! For more info check out their website!
