The Oxo Tower Restaurant– Valentine’s Day: Not Afternoon Tea

Question: What could possibly be better than taking your loved one for an afternoon tea this Valentine’s Day?

Answer: Not taking them for an afternoon tea.

The Oxo Tower Restaurant has come up with an exciting and fun alternative to the usual selection of teas, scones and sandwiches with their Valentine’s Day special named simply ‘Not An Afternoon Tea.’ This is a rather more grown up version of the original offering up cocktails instead of tea and an array of surprises along the way. Once you’ve been shown to your table you are given a long glass with a shot in it containing a superb blend of gin, vermouth, prosecco and violet liqueur. This is served up with a glass of sweet popcorn and two colourful sticks of candy-floss sprinkled with flecks of raspberry. Next, you are given the menu to choose from four different patisserie platters each accompanied by a cocktail designed to compliment the flavours in the food. The cakes are delicately flavoured and beautifully presented. The Nuts About Chocolate is a great option for any chocolate addicts out there, it offers up a a mouthwatering selection of treats including a chocolate tart, pecan brittle chocolate pave, white chocolate parfait and an almond crumble peanut butter brownie all washed down with a delicious Cocoa Nut cocktail. Finally you are handed a satin box of aphrodisiac truffles to take home for later. To make your Valentine feel truly special make sure you call up in advance and the staff will ensure there are two gingerbread love hearts on your table when you arrive with you and your loved one’s name written in icing sugar. So sit back and enjoy the panoramic views of London as you let the people at Oxo Tower work their magic.
