Right it’s time for you to put your knitting needles down and listen up because we’ve found a gem of a place for you situated right in the heart of trendy Shoreditch. Trapeze bar has recently opened and has already earned itself a reputation as THE quirky place to be on a Saturday night. Situated on Old Street this bar (if you haven’t already guessed) has a circus theme and is full of circus paraphernalia of all kinds. Sit in colourful booths and take a glance over the menu that is packed full of decadent circus themed food such as the gourmet fairground burger which comes with a beef chorizo, caramelized onion and runny cheese or chilly.
But the cocktail menu is where the real fun begins. Buy one to share and it will arrive in what appears to be old children’s toys such as an old fashioned circus cage or a circus tent. The theme of this bar is also reflected in the twists of ropes and hoops that hang from the ceiling and the general decor such as the clown suit hanging in a frame set against the brickwork, all a little creepy if it wasn’t for the fact that this place is first and foremost a party place!
Head downstairs later to work the food and cocktails off on the dance floor where you will find deep disco and house music from some of London’s best djs! Alternatively seek a spot upstairs for a quieter spot. With quizzes, live gigs and DJ nights there’s no excuse not to pay a visit!
